Pitt Grill in New Boston

If you are a nonsmoker do not go to this place you will be sadly disappointed.. the motel behind the restaurant does have truck parking which is nice if the restaurant was worth stopping for. The waitresses were more interested in smoking in the back corner than tending to their customers. Dishes piled everywhere..very unclean. Will not be back.

Food was great. Service was quick, but inattentive. When we went in, all the free tables were dirty. Also, be warned, they allow smoking.

Pitt Grill has always been my go-to spot. If nobody can decide what they want to eat load up we're headed to Pitt Grill. Good food and the service ain't bad either. Yes it is a smoking allowed establishment and you can clearly see that when you walk through the door. There are 2 choices you can make either eat or don't they are not forcing anyone to be there. I've been eating here for more than 20 years and when I moved back to the area it was the first restaurant I brought my family to. Very down home and genuinely friendly staff working hard to make a living. People should always remember that their are always choices in every action.

old building. i'm guessing that the A/C was broken because it was very hot inside. was expecting different kind of food then was provided. mostly ham , steak and chicken fried steak. food and service was good and food was well priced. both my husband and i had chicken fried steak with a salad. would go back.

A lot like Waffle House but with a lot more smoke. Food was good and wait staff was very friendly but the overall cleanliness of the restaurant along with the unavoidable lung cancer gets a 3 star. Everyone but my family had a cigarette in their hand so while the food was good I won’t be going back due to the overwhelming smoke cloud throughout the building.

This is a small place laid out like waffle house. Grill and all just slightly larger. The food was good, service friendly. If I were a local I would have a coffee and cigarette here every morning but my wife can't handle a smokey room anymore. If you want you're hash browns cooked all the way through order them scattered. They told me 99 percent of their customers prefer them that way but they still cook them in a ring that doesn't cook them all the way unless you request them scattered They did have one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever eaten.

Pitt Grill employees are great, the cook does exactly what I like my food prepared. A very happy customer! I ripped waitress and the great cook! Thank you so very much!

The service was great and the eggs, and sausage hash browns and biscuits were absolutely perfect .Each order prepared just the way three different people ordered their meal. I have eaten here occasionally for 6 years find each visit always very good. It may be a small Diner but the customer comes first.

We were immediately off put by the smoking indoors, but decided to give it a chance. It was busy but not to the point where every table was filled. However, it still took over forty minutes for two simple breakfasts to arrive. Their waffle machine was broken. Neither of our orders were correct! It was $26 for two simple meals and drinks. Everything tasted like smoke and our clothing had to go straight in the washer. I could not believe how many children were being exposed to all that smoke. Will not return. Don’t eat here unless you like the taste of cigarettes.

Steak too tough to eat. Everyone smokes. String beans from a can. Waitress friendly and helpful

This has long been a favorite place of my grandchildren. We have eaten there at all hours of the day and night. The quality of food depends upon the cook, but we have always been made welcome. This is an old time diner and it looks that way, but give it a try.

Top notch American style diner. No frills, just good eats. Highly recommend to anyone passing through.

Laid back casual cafe. If you are in a rush or expect efficiency consider another option this is a small town gathering place where conversation is King. Wait staff are kind and easily distracted. Be prepared for great food and sweet service. Be patient and relax expectations. You'll have a wonderful experience.

Food was ok. Took almost an hour to get 3 burgers and a club sandwich. There were flies flying everywhere, annoying us.

Don't ask my wife she's always going there I've never been but it must be a good place to go

Stopped in for breakfast after a camping/hiking trip in Ouachita Forest. Was a delicious meal. Had a homie atmosphere. And an odd feel of the 90s with a smoking and nonsmoking section.

Stop in late, about 930 pm but the food was good and the server was nice and friendly. The reason Iam giving them a three star is because there was people smoking inside and walking around also there was 4-5 dirty tables and counter had dirty dish on it the whole time we where there. They were not busy so they should of made a attempt to clean up.

A comfortable Little Grill to go to. Any hour of the day to get breakfast lunch or dinner. Very nice!😁 friendly employees

One of the best old school diners left in America! Great friendly service, wonderful home style food and cozy atmosphere ! The best part....smoking and non smoking sections. Loved it !

Great food great price great service

The food was decent. Diner food. The only thing we were shocked 😳 was there is a non-smoking side and smoking side. We didn’t know until we walked in the door. We probably could have walked out but didn’t want to be rude, now we know. We probably won’t be going back due to that reason, if we ever stay the night in New Boston again. Great Service though.

Loved the food here. Waitstaff was nice. We had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and a ribeye. It was very good! Quick walk from the truck stop across the street.

Got here on a Sunday around 11 am, the service is really good, food/drinks were excellent! The place is old but clean, restrooms no so bueno need some cleaning.. I guess the only problem was the long wait for our food ( party of four adults) we waited 25 minutes for the food and were told they were short one cook and thus the wait..other than that a good experience.

Amazing home cooked food and great service ! After a long drive in the car from Arkansas it was a nice stop and great meal!!

Gave this place a try since it had great reviews. Unfortunately we weren’t part of that group who enjoyed their visit... waited over 45 for food, our orders were incorrect and there was no escaping the heavy cigarette smoke. We won’t be back.

My friend Jack and I stopped in from Mt. Pleasant and the food and service were very good. I ordered the Master Burger Platter and my friend Jack had the Chicken Fried Steak dinner. Both were very good. Waitress and cook were both very nice. Stormy our waitress was very attentive and professional. These mom and pop diners are hard to find these days. Dennnys Cracker Barrel and IHOP are taking over the restaurant industry fast. Overall a very pleasant experience. If you want some good old fashioned homestyle cooking come to on down to New Boston Texas and stop by the Pitt Grill!!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
